Find an AC Power Plug By Standard Type
Listed below are the plug types organised alphabetically by the country in which they are used, or the country they are associated with. For example, Australia and New Zealand use the same plug and more details can be found by clicking on the Australian flag.
The same applies with the USA and Canada: click on the American flag. These pages provide more information about where the plug is used, what variations there are and which quality standards and approvals are applicable. For countries not listed below, the Find by Country page lists all sovereign states with their dependencies and the plugs used.
How to find an AC power plug by standard
Start with the destination country, then confirm the national standard and any local approval mark. Countries that use a similar-looking plug can still have different requirements for current rating, pin dimensions, cable approval or product certification. The complete cord set must also match the equipment inlet and its electrical load.
Use this standard-based directory when you already know a designation such as BS 1363, NBR 14136, AS/NZS 3112, CEE 7 or NEMA. If you only know the destination, use our AC power plugs by country guide. For letter classifications such as Type A, B, C or G, see the IEC plug-type classification overview.
For a quotation, provide the destination country, equipment connector, voltage, current, cable length and anticipated quantity. This helps Morvan Trading identify an appropriate approved plug, cable and connector combination rather than selecting by appearance alone.
